Key West is the end of the road: the final island of the Florida Keys, where US-1 — the Overseas Highway, strung over 42 bridges from the mainland — runs out at mile marker 0. Four miles long and two wide, the island packs its life into the Old Town grid at its western end: Duval Street running from the Gulf side to the Atlantic side, the harbour at the Bight, and Mallory Square, where the town gathers every evening to watch the sun drop into the Gulf.

The catalogue's Key West cameras are Florida DOT's island network — 29 feeds standing over the roads that carry the island: North Roosevelt Boulevard along the north shore, the Truman Avenue corridor through town, and one at the corner of Duval Street itself. They are road cameras, and this page says so: they read the island's weather, its light and its traffic live. The famous private feeds — the Duval Street bar cams, the Southernmost Point camera — are not in the catalogue, and no road feed here is dressed up as one of them.

The wall — every camera, nearest first

The rule for this page is the rule for the whole family: every catalogue camera within 12 km of Key West’s centre (24.5551, -81.7800), ordered nearest first. Known for: The last island of the Keys — mile marker 0 of the Overseas Highway, Duval Street, and the nightly sunset gathering at Mallory Square.

Every card is the camera's real live feed: snapshot cards refresh about every 15 seconds, stream cards play live in the grid (a few at a time, the same budget the map tiles use) and in full when you open a camera. Feeds are provided by their operators and public sources; a camera whose stream has gone off air shows as unavailable rather than playing a recording.

What this wall actually shows

The nearest feeds stand on North Roosevelt Boulevard at First Street, 0.6 km from the wall's centre — the island's front door, where the Overseas Highway comes in.

Six feeds name Truman Avenue and one stands at Duval and Truman — the Old Town grid itself. No beach-named feed exists in the catalogue for Key West; the wall is the island's road grid, labelled as one.

How to check Key West before you go

  1. 1Start with the closest cameras in the wall above — the feeds nearest the centre are the ones that read the beach's weather best.
  2. 2Read the sky and the surface, not a forecast: cloud cover, light, wind texture where a feed faces open ground or water, and how busy the town looks.
  3. 3Check the timestamp on any feed before trusting it — a paused camera and a calm morning can look alike.
  4. 4For swell height, period and a real surf forecast, use a dedicated surf report — WorldEye doesn't publish one. The camera is the visual half of the check; the report is the numbers half.

Key West cameras — FAQ

Can I check the surf at Key West on these cameras?+
You can see Key West live — the sky, the light, the weather arriving and how busy the town is. WorldEye shows cameras only: it does not publish beach or surf forecasts, so read the wall as the visual check, not a prediction.
How many cameras are near Key West?+
29 catalogue cameras fall within 12 km of Key West's centre, and every one of them is in the wall below, nearest first. None of them is a dedicated beach camera — the wall is the town's public road and corridor network, and this page labels it that way. The counts are computed from the catalogue the same way everywhere in this directory, so the number here is the number the grid serves.
Are these dedicated beach cameras?+
Some walls hold beach-named feeds; most are the networks that happen to cover a surf town — municipal cameras, state road feeds, harbour and street cameras within the radius. The nearest feeds stand on North Roosevelt Boulevard at First Street, 0.6 km from the wall's centre — the island's front door, where the Overseas Highway comes in. Each wall on WorldEye states its rule and describes its actual mix rather than dressing a road camera up as something it is not.
Does WorldEye publish a surf forecast for Key West?+
No. WorldEye is a camera directory with live layers (weather radar, buoys on the map, storm tracking), not a forecasting service — there is no swell model, no surf report and no conditions rating here, for Key West or anywhere else. What you get is the live picture itself, which for a lot of surfers is the check that matters: is the coast sunny or socked in, calm-looking or wind-torn, empty or crowded — right now, not in a model run.
Are the Key West cameras free to watch?+
Yes. Every camera in the wall is free to watch — no account, no signup. Open any card to jump to the same spot on the globe, where the camera plays alongside the weather and buoy layers.
