WorldEye on You.com: Agent-Native Search Meets a Machine-Readable Site

·WorldEye Team

▸ Agent-native, but outbound

You.com is the most agent-native of the AI search engines: its answers cite sources inline, and its developer platform — search, contents and research APIs — is built to be wired into other people's agents. That platform runs outbound: your agent consumes You.com's index. There is no inbound programme. A data provider cannot register a tool or listing that You.com's own answers will call, and WorldEye does not claim one — the same honesty rule as every other post in this series.

▸ Be legible to machines

What a provider can do is be maximally legible to machines. WorldEye publishes an llms.txt and an llms-full.txt — the plain-text site summaries that agent frameworks increasingly read first — alongside structured data, an open sitemap, and pages whose claims carry their measures and dates: 74,229 cameras served as the headline, other catalogue totals labelled as the different measures they are. When a You.com answer, or an agent built on its APIs, needs the live-camera facts, the shortest path to a correct citation runs through those files.

And for agent builders, the other half of the stack is ready today: WorldEye's documented REST API and MCP server, with a free self-serve key, listed in the official MCP Registry as app.worldeye/worldeye since November 4, 2026 — five read-only tools over the redistribution-cleared catalogue, returning metadata, snapshots and watch links, never stream URLs and never user data. Wiring that into an agent built on You.com's APIs is a few lines; the endpoints and limits are on the developers page, and our WorldEye on You.com page covers the reader-facing side.

▸ Frequently asked questions

Is WorldEye listed or integrated on You.com?+

No. You.com offers no inbound listing or integration for data providers; its developer APIs are for consuming You.com's index in your own agents. WorldEye appears in You.com answers through web citations.

What is llms.txt and why does WorldEye publish one?+

llms.txt is a plain-text summary of a site — what it is, what it costs, where the key pages are — written for AI agents and answer engines to read first. WorldEye publishes llms.txt and llms-full.txt so machine readers get our facts exactly as stated.

Can an agent built on You.com use WorldEye's data?+

Yes, through WorldEye's own platform: a REST API and an MCP server (registry-listed since November 4, 2026) with a free API key. That integration lives in the agent you build, not inside You.com's answers.
