Mount Bromo — Live Volcano Cameras
1 live camera within 30 km of Mount Bromo's crater — Volcano Bromo - Indonesia (SkylineWebcams). Free, no signup.
Bromo's wall is a single camera, like Etna's — a dedicated volcano feed looking across the Tengger caldera at one of the most photographed volcanic landscapes on Earth: Bromo's smoking cone inside a sea of sand, with Semeru, Java's highest volcano, standing in the same volcanic complex behind the caldera.
One feed, stated plainly. The page exists because that feed is real, dedicated and worth having beside the observatory's word: PVMBG sets Bromo's alert level, and this camera shows the caldera the level describes.
Best time to watch Bromo
Bromo is a sunrise subject — the caldera light in the first hour is why the viewpoints fill before dawn, and the camera catches the same progression: mist in the sand sea, the cone's plume lit from the side, Semeru clearing last. By midday the caldera is usually hazier and flatter.
Eruption status is not read off a webcam: confirm what you are seeing with the Indonesia's PVMBG (Center for Volcanology and Geological Hazard Mitigation) before drawing conclusions from any single frame.

Every card is the camera's real live feed: snapshot cards refresh about every 15 seconds, stream cards play live in the grid (a few at a time, the same budget the map tiles use) and in full when you open a camera. Feeds are provided by their operators and public sources; a camera whose stream has gone off air shows as unavailable rather than playing a recording.

How to watch Bromo on the map
- 1Start with the named cameras: the highlights at the top of this page are the wall's anchor viewpoints — open them first for the volcano itself.
- 2Check the timestamp before trusting the frame, and read the weather panel: plumes, ash and cloud are easy to confuse at a glance.
- 3Confirm what you're seeing against the responsible observatory — here, the Indonesia's PVMBG (Center for Volcanology and Geological Hazard Mitigation).
- 4Switch on the earthquake layer on the globe to see the seismic activity under and around the volcano — eruptions are seismic stories.
- 5During unrest, recheck across hours: episodes build, peak and stop, and the regional cameras catch the aftermath — plumes, closures, glow after dark.
